Mind & Body Alignment

Yoga Therapy — movement prescribed, not performed

At Anzee Ayurveda, yoga isn't a class you follow along to — it's a therapy planned around your Prakriti, your current condition, and whatever treatment you're already undergoing. Our resident yoga therapists work alongside your Vaidya to build a practice of asana, breath and stillness that actually supports your recovery, adjusted session to session as your body changes.

Our Approach

Four practices, one coordinated plan

Rather than a single class format, we draw from four distinct branches of yoga therapy and combine them according to what your body needs this week — not a fixed curriculum.

Therapeutic Asana Practice

Postures prescribed to condition

A one-on-one sequence of postures selected specifically for what you're dealing with — joint stiffness, postural imbalance, or recovery after a Panchakarma protocol. Poses are modified in real time under supervision, using props and gentle progressions rather than a fixed class routine, so the practice adapts to your body instead of the other way around. Sessions typically run 45–60 minutes and are reassessed weekly.

  • Improves joint mobility & posture
  • Supports post-Panchakarma recovery
  • Sequenced around your dosha
  • Reassessed every session

Breath Regulation Therapy

Controlled breath, settled nervous system

Techniques such as Nadi Shodhana and Bhramari are taught progressively to regulate the nervous system, improve lung capacity and settle a racing mind. Each technique is matched to your Prakriti — certain breath patterns cool an aggravated Pitta, while others help ground excess Vata — and are practised seated, away from the exertion of asana work.

  • Eases anxiety & shallow breathing
  • Supports respiratory conditions
  • Improves stamina over time
  • Calms before sleep or treatment

Guided Meditation Therapy

Quieting the mind, rebuilding attention

Seated meditation drawn from classical yoga is used to quiet mental chatter and rebuild attention span, particularly for patients managing chronic pain, insomnia or the aftermath of burnout. Sessions start short and achievable — often five to ten minutes — building duration only once a steady, comfortable practice is established rather than forcing longer sits too soon.

  • Reduces stress & rumination
  • Supports sleep & emotional balance
  • Builds focus gradually
  • Fully guided, no prior experience needed
04 · Yoga Nidra

Restorative Relaxation Therapy

Deep rest, without needing sleep

A guided lying-down practice that moves the body into a state between waking and sleep, allowing deep physiological rest without requiring hours of sleep to achieve it. It's frequently used alongside Panchakarma to help the nervous system settle during intensive detox weeks, and suits anyone dealing with chronic fatigue or disrupted sleep patterns.

  • Deep rest for chronic fatigue
  • Complements Panchakarma weeks
  • Improves sleep depth
  • No physical exertion required
Why Anzee

Why choose our Yoga Therapy programme

Not a drop-in class — a therapy plan built around your medical picture, delivered by people qualified to adjust it as you progress.

Vaidya-Coordinated Care

Every yoga plan is reviewed with your treating physician, so postures and breathwork never work against an active Ayurvedic protocol.

Certified Therapists

Sessions are led by trained yoga therapists experienced in adapting practice for medical conditions, not general fitness instructors.

Fully Personalised

No group classes or fixed routines — every session is one-on-one and built around your current dosha balance and condition.

Progress Tracked

Your therapist reassesses and adjusts your plan every session, rather than following a fixed multi-week curriculum regardless of progress.

Integrated With Treatment

Frequently paired with Panchakarma, Shirodhara or counselling programmes so the nervous system settles alongside physical detox.

Take-Home Practice

Every patient leaves with a simple, written routine to continue safely at home between visits — not just what happens in the room.

How It Works

Getting started is straightforward

1

Initial Consultation

A Vaidya and yoga therapist jointly assess your Prakriti, current condition and any ongoing treatment.

2

Plan Built

A therapy combination is selected from the four formats above, matched to what you need this week.

3

Guided Sessions

One-on-one sessions with real-time adjustment — nothing is a fixed routine followed without supervision.

4

Reassess & Continue

Progress is reviewed regularly and the plan evolves with you, alongside a take-home practice for daily continuity.

The sessions were nothing like the yoga classes I'd tried before — every posture was chosen for what I actually needed that day, and my therapist adjusted the plan as my back improved.

Panchakarma, the ultimate mind-body-spirit healing experience, offers a profound purification process that strengthens the immune system, restores balance, and reconnects you with your inner self. Rooted in the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda, Panchakarma promotes healing, rejuvenation, and detoxification, addressing the body’s need to remove toxins (ama) and imbalances caused by poor lifestyle practices, diet, and stress. The word “Panchakarma” translates to “five actions” or “five treatments,” a series of therapeutic procedures designed to cleanse the body and eliminate harmful substances through the natural elimination organs. By removing excess doshas, correcting imbalances, and purifying deep tissues, Panchakarma restores the body’s innate healing capacity and improves overall health. Each Panchakarma therapy is personalized to your unique constitutional type, dosha balance, age, digestive capacity, and immune condition.
Ayurvedic treatments offer long-term health benefits by working in alignment with the body’s natural intelligence.

Key outcomes include:
